It is a dead certainty that I have never even come close to winning the AL section of this contest! Why? 10W to a 2m big-wheel omni antenna ...

Thank you for bringing the QRP Labs QDX to my notice. I have been reading up on this product and it is most interesting.
I gather, from what I have read, that it might be advantageous to power it from a 9 volt supply, rather than 12 volts. I have searched for a suitable source of 9 volts but remain dubious about the quality of what I have so far found. May I trouble you by asking how you intend to power your unit ?
