I think the colours are a mix of old paint and lichen. Whatever it is, it was odd.
When I picked it up the green bits lit up and it said, "take me to your leader". OK, I am kidding! 👻

We’re you near water? It looks like part of a float fishermen use to mark traps or nets.
No Tom, some way away. I think it was an old piece of wood with some flaky paint and some lichen. Certainly got my attention.
