Hi Roger,
very interesting read of your radio history.
Would you say it is much more difficult these days to achieve the DX successes of yesteryears? I wonder if the ether is now so saturated with RF that that time has passed. I seem to suffer from continuous high level background HF noise that I never saw when I started amateur radio.
73 Ken G4APB and rarely get real two-way DX anymore.
Noise pollution, especially on the lower HF bands is much worse than years ago. I do wonder if HF propagation is now harder. Certainly we have passed a period of high sunspot peaks, but I think there is more than this going on.
